RETHINK owner, Kristen McCoy (AKA the Upcycler), is a fashion activist: a textile artist, repair expert, professional tailor, AND clothing designer on a mission to prove that the worn or damaged garments we throw away can be reborn. Kristen makes wearable upcycled art out of what others have deemed to be garbage.

Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how The Upcycler (Kristen McCoy) turned condoms into fashion statements for the Ready or Hot Planned Parenthood fashion show at First Ave on 2/28.Come see this year's Condom Couture designs, up close and personal (photos of the looks below). Tour the studio, hear about what went into making a line of garments out of condoms, get an up-close look at the upcycled loom Kristen built for the woven bomber jacket, get a peek at the other condom experiments she didn't use in the show, and shop Kristen's other upcycled designs. And if you appreciate a more tactile experience, Kristen will also guide you on how to touch a couple of this year's designs (the faux fur really is as soft and fluffy as it looks).To keep this studio tour more intimate, we are limiting this event to 25 attendees. In order to keep this event as accesible as possible, tickets for this event are available at different "pay what you can" price options. All sales go towards helping RETHINK keep the lights on ❤️
