Join us for a unique opportunity to hear the visiting Swedish-Finnish choir Akademiska Sångföreningen (The Academic Song Society) on stage.

To promote a better understanding between the United States and the Nordic countries, with emphasis on Sweden, and to perpetuate Nordic culture and traditions through the teaching, observance, practice, and celebration of this culture and its traditions.

<h3>This event is in partnership with <a href="https://www.swedishfinnhistoricalsociety.org/" title="https://www.swedishfinnhistoricalsociety.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Swedish Finn Historical Society</a>.</h3><p><br></p><p>Join us for a unique opportunity to hear the visiting Swedish-Finnish choir <a href="https://akademen.fi/in-english" title="https://akademen.fi/in-english" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Akademiska Sångföreningen (The Academic Song Society) </a>on stage. This large choir was founded in 1838 and is Finland's oldest living choir. The choir performs in Finland and abroad and their repertoire range from great classics to brand new premieres, from lyrical moods to manly pathos, from the deepest seriousness to student frivolity. We are honored to host the choir here at the Swedish Club. Joining the The Academic Song Society on stage for part of the concert, are the <a href="https://sites.google.com/view/fcs-seattle/home" title="https://sites.google.com/view/fcs-seattle/home" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Finnish Choral Society of Seattle</a> and the <a href="https://swedishsingersofseattle.org/" title="https://swedishsingersofseattle.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Swedish Singers of Seattle</a>. Don’t miss this chance to see this live!</p>
