The Celebrate! Maya Project of Arkansas is a 5013c charity and education organization whose mission is to educate youth and adults about the life and legacy of Dr. Maya Angelou, and partner with schools and communities in the Arkansas delta regions to encourage education and literacy. In addition to creating education and history initiatives at the schools, the Project awards three academic scholarships and two poetry awards to deserving students each year.

Celebrate! Maya Project and Ron Robinson Theatern - Central Arkansas Library System invite you to join us for an inspiring evening as we celebrate the life and legacy of the legendary Maya Angelou. This free benefit screening of the award-winning film, produced by Rita Coburn, one of PBS' most watched films, is in honor of Dr. Maya Angelou's 96th Birthday and will include an interactive conversation immediately following the screening. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about the incredible journey of this iconic poet, author, and civil rights activist. Grab your popcorn and get ready for a night of empowerment and inspiration!
