Greenwich House Music School, located in the historic West Village, provides a wide range of cultural events as well as instructional classes and outreach in NYC’s public schools. With more than 40 faculty instructors, it has over 450 students from age three to older adults, ranging in skill from beginners to professionals. Classes are offered for all instruments including piano, voice, violin and viola, cello, clarinet, drums, flute, guitar, five-string banjo, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and harp.http://www.greenwichhouse.org/musicEffective March 1, 2022 GHMS still requires masks and proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination (for those eligible under CDC guidelines) to enter our building. This policy will continue until at least June 13, 2022. GHMS staff and artists are also subject to a mandatory vaccination policy. Proof of vaccination can be your CDC card or a photo of your CDC card with ID, the NY State Excelsior pass app, or the NYC COVID Safe App.Note: Greenwich House Music School is not ADA accessible.

Uncharted Concert Series

Uncharted is a concert series that encourages artists to take risks, and work out new or existing material, collaborations, and projects for an intimate concert experience.

$20 Tickets available at the door (46 Barrow Street). Doors open at 7:30 pm, Concert at 8. Beer + wine bar included with admission.

Greenwich House Music School is pleased to present Mireya Ramos &amp; Trevor Turla as part of its 10th annual Uncharted Concert Series, part of the Baisley Powell Elebash Artists in Residence Program.Mireya Ramos is a New York-based Latin Grammy-winning (and multiple Latin Grammy and Grammy-nominated) vocalist, musician, composer, producer, arranger and founder of Flor de Toloache – New York’s only all women mariachi. Ramos embodies all of her musical influences whether classical, mariachi, salsa, merengue, or hip-hop, always creating a unique and refreshing sound. Her versatility, natural improvisational skills and beautiful tone has made her one of the top Latin artists in New York City. Her latest album, Sin Fronteras, recorded in Kansas City in collaboration with over twenty-five musicians and a fusion of Americana, country, and Rancheras was a true testament to the innovations and the creative freedom she expresses.Ramos will bring a little bit of this Kansas City flavor back home to New York City for this Uncharted performance, including special guest trombone extraordinaire Trevor Turla, the brilliant Ezgi on cello, and New York's very own Felipe Fournier on drums, and a few special guests. The performance will be a mix of new songs that fuse together a wide array of genres as well as songs from her recently released album.Uncharted, now in its tenth year, has been an invaluable resource for New York-based musicians to develop original material, foster new collaborations, and premiere first-look projects in an intimate concert setting.
