Join us for a deep dive into Delaware's Iconic Cases: Rural/Metro on March 27!

Please join us on Wednesday, March 27, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for “Iconic Delaware Cases: Rural/Metro.” Emiliano Catan (Co-Director, Institute for Corporate Governance &amp; Finance) will moderate a panel that will focus on the Rural/Metro litigation tackling questions such as What makes Rural/Metro an iconic decision? What were the key doctrinal innovations in Rural/Metro? How has the case changed the way in which boards approach the engagement and oversight of sell-side financial advisors. The panel will include Hon. J. Travis Laster (Vice Chancellor, Delaware Court of Chancery), who rendered the Chancery Court decision; Joel Friedlander (Friedlander &amp; Gorris), who represented the plaintiffs; Robert Knauss (Warburg Pincus), who, at the time the case was decided, was General Counsel of Warburg Pincus, the acquirer of Rural; and Alan Stone (Millbank LLP), who represented Defendant RBC Capital Markets, LLC. The program will be in D’Agostino Hall.This event has been approved for 1.5 New York State CLE credits in the category of Areas of Professional Practice. The credit is both transitional and non-transitional; it is appropriate for both experienced and newly admitted attorneys.
