We are delighted to announce our forthcoming GLACIATION event, scheduled for the 12th of March, in Cork, Ireland, with hybrid modalities. The conference, titled "Harmonising Privacy and AI across the Cloud-Edge Continuum," will delve into the essential equilibrium of progressing AI technologies while safeguarding personal privacy, a topic of increasing relevance as AI becomes more prevalent across a multitude of sectors.The GLACIATION project is at the forefront of innovation, focusing on the development of a ground-breaking metadata fabric that spans the edge-core-cloud architecture. Leveraging AI-driven optimisation of data movement and operations, GLACIATION aims to minimise environmental impact while ensuring privacy awareness and compliance. By strategically optimising the location of analytics, the project will achieve significant reductions in carbon emissions associated with data movement and operations, all while enhancing data privacy.Central to the event will be a showcase of the GLACIATION project's strategic initiatives to weave AI with privacy. Our dedication to intelligent data routing and the inception of an innovative metadata fabric are a testament to our unwavering commitment to the ethical application of AI. Participants will learn about to our pioneering efforts to champion data sovereignty and maintain stringent ethical AI standards, establishing the GLACIATION project as a leading voice in the discourse on privacy in our increasingly digital world.

Roberta Lotti, Italian Ministry's Innovation Manager & GLACIATION Coordinator, discusses insights for an Artificial Intelligence-enabled public sector. Dell VP Bob Savage shares industry views on AI. Policy expert Barry O'Sullivan explores AI policy and integration in society. Professor Pierangela Samarati examines privacy with GLACIATION.

Keynote Speeches: 

A discussion on the balance between AI advancements and privacy risks across the cloud-edge continuum, along with strategies for adhering to EU privacy laws, especially GDPR, during AI implementation, featuring Professor Javad Chamanara, Professor Niamh O’Mahony, Professor Donna O'Shea, and Mr. Jerry Sweeney.
