Berkshire Regional Planning Commission asked Q-MoB to facilitate focus groups with gay/queer men 60 & older about their needs/priorities.

Berkshire Regional Planning Commission has asked Q-MoB to facilitate 4 focus groups (2 in March &amp; 2 in April) with gay/queer men 60 &amp; older about their needs and priorities so that we can submit a joint grant proposal to help older LGBTQ+ people have less isolation and therefore more resources for pursuing their needs and priorities. No data associated with individuals will be collected at the focus groups. We will only take notes on how many times certain needs and priorities get addressed and what ideas the focus groups come up with for addressing isolation and supporting gay/queer men over 60 in meeting their needs and pursuing their priorities. General notes from the Focus Group will be shared with BRPC, but no identifying information about any participant or their views.THANK YOU GIFT: At the end of each focus group each participant will receive a $25 gift Visa Card as a thank you for your time , ideas, &amp; participation.WEATHER: Generally we will only cancel if there is a Winter Weather Advisory that recommends people not drive or if the Coffee House lets us know they need to close. We ask all registrants to let us know your cell phone number so that if in the unlikely event there is an unexpected weather emergency that forces us to reschedule, we can inform you promptly. Generally the Town is efficient at plowing &amp; salting, so small amounts of snow will not affect us.CARPOOLING &amp; RIDE-SHARING: We encourage everyone to carpool, and Q-MoB's Ride Coordinator will be reaching out to everyone to find rides for men who don't have cars and to encourage carpools by men who live in the same or nearby towns.
