Getting back into shape after having a baby can be hard – there’s no doubt about it! Balancing the needs of your baby, your new family structure and your post-baby body can leave you feeling overwhelmed. If you are wondering where to begin and what is safe, this is the perfect class for you!
This class will cover the basics of building a fitness routine after giving birth. It will help you understand the building blocks of getting back into shape and what you can do to feel your best and maximize your fitness. Among the topics we will cover:

<LI>What the body goes through during and after pregnancy and how that impacts fitness.</LI>
<LI>Which exercises are safe – when and why?</LI>
<LI>How to build your strength and endurance after pregnancy.</LI>
<LI>Safe abdominal exercises to target postpartum bellies; Preventing and reducing diastasis recti.</LI>
<LI>Techniques to minimize incontinence and reduce aches and pains.</LI>
<LI>How to get the most out of your exercise time.</LI>
<LI>Breastfeeding and exercise.</LI>
</UL>
 
This class is open to all levels of fitness and to those in any stage of motherhood - from those currently pregnant to those who delivered years ago. There will be plenty of time for questions, discussion and demonstration. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Please contact the organizer with any specific questions you may have.
 
**Classes are held in the Sajak Atrium in the Sajak Pavilion**
