Creative Industries Festival 2024

We welcome artists, educators, entrepreneurs, researchers, policy-makers/advocates and everyone with a passion for creativity!

Location: Headington Hill HallFrom bettering mental health through developing entrepreneurship skills, to opportunities for identity reflection and self-expression, artistic creation serves many purposes across today’s educational, professional, public and private realms. In this varied exhibition and its accompanying discussion, we highlight some of the work that Oxford Brookes colleagues and students have engaged with at the intriguing intersection of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM).Offering research insights on use of AI in creativity, young people’s mental health, the boundaries between identity and consciousness, and entrepreneurship, panellists include Alex Goody (Literature &amp; Culture), Eric White (Literature), Paul Kilsby (Fine Art) and Eleni Elia (Statistics).The exhibition features:1) Lego Serious Play structures created by maths students, offering a unique perspective into their thoughts and feelings towards creative entrepreneurship.
