A speaker series presented by the School of Design and Creative Technologies

<h3>Future Sketches</h3><p>This talk will focus on Zach Lieberman's artistic practice, his decades-long work with collaborators and investigations into augmented reality, new tools for drawing and interactive play. It will also explore his community building and educational work, introducing projects like openFrameworks and the School for Poetic Computation, an experimental school he helped co-found. He will also showcase the work of the Future Sketches group at the Media Lab, which is investigating and helping to shape what art and design of the future may look like.</p>

<h3>About Zach Lieberman</h3><p>Zachary Lieberman is an artist, researcher, and educator whose work explores generative form and interaction design. He's been listed as one of Fast Company's Most Creative People and his projects have won the Golden Nica from Ars Electronica, Interactive Design of the Year from Design Museum London as well as listed in Time Magazine's Best Inventions of the Year. He creates artwork through writing software and is a co-creator of openFrameworks, an open source C++ toolkit for creative coding and helped co-found the School for Poetic Computation, a school examining the lyrical possibilities of code. He’s a professor at MIT’s Media Lab, where he runs the Future Sketches group. In 2022 he was inducted as member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).</p>
