Mondo Cozmo, aka Josh Ostrander, is a Philly-raised, West Coast-based rock &amp; roll songsmith. This is for the Barbarians is his third album following his 2020 release, New Medicine, and 2017’s Plastic Soul. This is for the Barbarians should be consumed as a singular piece. A complete idea. It has a beginning and an end. It’s a story. It weighs heavy on the death of Ostrander’s uncle while at the same time celebrating life. It’s dark and beautiful. It’s bright and funny. It’s the human experience in a year of isolation. It’s a slice of Ostrander’s liver and a piece of his heart.
