Francophonie Atlanta Inc., a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, is a multi-cultural collaboration between the French-speaking countries with consulates in Atlanta and francophone organizations.  Its mission is to promote the French language by raising awareness of the richness and diversity of francophone cultures from around the world. Every year in March,Francophonie Atlantaorganizes theAtlanta Francophonie Festival,featuring a variety of cultural and educational events.The following consulates and organizations are members ofFrancophonie Atlanta: Consulates of the Kingdom of Belgium, Canada, France, Haiti, Switzerland, Ireland, Lebanon, Alliance Française of Atlanta, American Association of Teachers of French, French-American Chamber of Commerce, Belgian-American Chamber of the South, The Ivorian Expo, Atlanta Accueil, Congolese Community of Atlanta, Ecole du Samedi, Québec Government Office, St Martin's Episcopal School, Wallonie-Bruxelles International.

Join the Francophone community for a fun bike tour of the Atlanta Beltline Westside!

Enjoy the trail’s charm and explore the surrounding historic neighborhoods alongside expert guides.Join us in the parking lot of Lee + White (1020 White St SW. Atlanta, GA 30310) to begin our tour. Please arrive by 9:30AM.The 10-mile ride is mostly flat with a few moderate hills. Participants should be at least 13 years of age, have basic biking skills, and have a fitness level that would allow them to complete the tour as described.Don’t own a bike? Bike and helmet rental are available from our bike rental partner, <a href="https://www.clutchbicycleshop.com/" title="https://www.clutchbicycleshop.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Clutch Bike Shop</a>. For $35 Clutch will bring you a bike/helmet to our starting point and pick them up when the tour is over, please contact them directly <a href="https://www.clutchbicycleshop.com/articles/bike-rentals-pg191.htm" title="https://www.clutchbicycleshop.com/articles/bike-rentals-pg191.htm" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a> to arrange your rental.Stay and enjoy a drink at Boxcar at Hop City West End after the tour. Consul General of Belgium Michel Gerebtzoff, Consul General of Switzerland Urs Brönnimann and the Francophonie community will be in attendance. *The tour will be in English, so any and all are welcome to join. We encourage you to brush up on your Swiss and Belgian sports culture as there will be some fun quizzes and possible prizes!

Price: Free to participate. $35 if you need to rent a bike/helmet directly through <a href="https://www.clutchbicycleshop.com/articles/bike-rentals-pg191.htm" title="https://www.clutchbicycleshop.com/articles/bike-rentals-pg191.htm" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Clutch Bike Shop</a>. What to wear: Comfortable athletic wear, and anything that represents the French speaking culture, such as your favorite athlete's jersey, favorite comic book character, favorite movie character, we encourage your creativity! Waters will be provided but please feel free to bring your own reusable water bottle and snack/sandwich for the tour.Registration deadline: Monday, March 11, 2024*Please note all participants will need to complete a liability waiver before the tour to be able to participate.
