March 26 – Dr. Amy-Jill Levine on “Antisemitism and the Pulpit: The Gospel of John, the Jews, and Holy Week”

Hartford International University for Religion and Peace will host a four-part lunchtime webinar series that explores the roots – and the current manifestations – of hatred and bigotry toward Jews and Muslims. Two scholars will focus on what’s happening today and two will delve into ancient and scriptural connections.Each webinar will take place on a Tuesday in March, beginning March 5, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. EST.Speakers will explore their stated topics and take questions from attendees. March 26 – Dr. Amy-Jill Levine on “Antisemitism and the Pulpit: The Gospel of John, the Jews, and Holy Week”  Dr. Amy-Jill Levine is the Rabbi Stanley M. Kessler Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Hartford International University. The recipient of prestigious awards too numerous to list, she was the first Jew to teach New Testament at Rome’s Pontifical Biblical Institute. She has given close to 1000 lectures on the Bible, Christian-Jewish relations, and Religion, Gender, and Sexuality across the globe.  This series is supported by Continuing and Professional Education at HIU.Hartford International University for Religion and Peace is unique among theological institutions across the globe — both in approach and history.
