Join our free ‘HRT and Older Women’ masterclass to celebrate International Women’s Day with British Menopause Society Accredited Menopause Specialist Dr Katie Barber. The theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is ‘Inspire Inclusion’ and we’re aiming to do just that with our deep dive into the topic of HRT and older women. We’ll be looking to empower women with the knowledge they need to make an informed decision about HRT and whether it’s right for them - whatever their age. We’ll separate fact from fiction and share evidence based guidance that helps inform individual choice. So if you’re wondering when is too late to start HRT, when you should stop, which options might be best, or even what the alternatives are if HRT isn’t for you, this is the session for you. There’ll also be time for questions. About Dr Katie Barber Katie has worked in the NHS in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire for over 20 years. During her GP training she developed a particular interest in Women’s Health, completing the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. She has worked in the department of Gynaecology at the John Radcliffe Hospital as a GP with a Special Interest in Gynaecology and Urogynaecology where her enthusiasm for helping women manage various aspects of the menopause started. She holds the Advanced Certificate of Menopause Care from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and is an Accredited British Menopause Society Specialist and menopause trainer. In October 2020, Katie established Oxford Menopause, a private Menopause and Women’s Health service providing high-quality expert, personalised advice and management delivered by British Menopause Society Accredited Menopause Specialists and Women’s Health GP Specialists.
