Seats are limited, so grab them while they are available!About the Artists:Trombonist and singer/songwriter Natalie Cressman and Brazilian composer, guitarist, and singer Ian Faquini have created a uniquely intimate duo collaboration, drawing from impressionism, jazz, and the great Brazilian songwriting tradition. The duo’s global take on music is largely expressed through the distinct compositional voice of Faquini, with occasional lyrics penned by Cressman. Their original material features songs in three different languages and encompasses a vast spectrum of musical ground. With the warm instrumentation of acoustic guitar and trombone and two-part vocal harmonies hugging the Brazilian-accented Portuguese, Cressman &amp; Faquini weave their musical voices together to create a fully orchestrated sound befitting a much larger ensemble. Together Cressman and Faquini performed in the US at venues including the Monterey Jazz Festival, SFJAZZ Center, and and in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, and Italy.Cressman has spent the past eleven years touring the jam band circuit as a horn player and vocalist with Phish's Trey Anastasio, while also collaborating with many illustrious figures on the New York City jazz scene. When she’s not performing her own music, Cressman can be found collaborating with some of the most illustrious figures in rock, funk, jazz and beyond, which have included Phish, Big Gigantic, Carlos Santana, Escort, Wycliffe Gordon, Nicholas Payton, Anat Cohen, The Motet, and Umphrey's McGee.Born in Brasília and raised in Berkeley, Faquini was a member of the renowned Berkeley High School Jazz program before going on to study at the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley and, immediately after graduating, joined the faculty there. Kleinmann performed on Eigsti's project "Imagine our Future" in California in 2022 and recorded on his latest album (release date: March 7th 2024). Upon completion of the recording session, Taylor commented that Rebecca "brought the music to life." The duo explores new arrangements of originals and classics.Taylor Eigsti started playing piano at age four. Growing up in Menlo Park, CA, Eigsti was quickly labeled a prodigy, and has since released 8 albums as a bandleader, in addition to appearing on over 70 albums as a sideman. Eigsti won the GRAMMY® Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for his album “Tree Falls” in 2022 and has been featured on several other GRAMMY® nominated albums and soundtracks.Over the past 30+ years, Eigsti has had the good fortune of performing, touring or recording with such luminaries as Dave Brubeck, Chris Botti, Joshua Redman, Sting, John Mayer, Esperanza Spalding, Chick Corea, Joshua Bell, Chris Potter, Nicholas Payton, Ben Wendel, Christian McBride, Julian Lage, Marian McPartland, Stefon Harris, McCoy Tyner and Dianne Reeves, among many others.In addition to touring with his trio, quartet and larger ensembles, Eigsti is a regular member of Terence Blanchard’s E-Collective band featuring the Turtle Island Quartet, and frequently tours in a duo context with Rolling Stones’ long-time vocalist Ms. Lisa Fischer. He performs at many premiere venues throughout the world, including the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and top festivals including Montreal Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival and the Newport Jazz Festival.<a href="https://www.tayjazz.com/" title="https://www.tayjazz.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">www.tayjazz.com</a>Flutist, vocalist and educator Rebecca Kleinmann grew up in Charlotte and studied music at Indiana University with her beloved mentor, the late David Baker. She based herself in California for the following twenty years, frequently touring. International performances have included the San Jose Jazz Festival, SF Jazz, SESC São Paulo, and the Melbourne Women in Jazz Festival. Rebecca has recorded or performed with greats including Hermeto Pascoal, Toninho Horta, Airto Moreira, Vanessa Moreno and Mararca.Seeking to inform her sound with rich musical surroundings, Rebecca travels annually to Brazil, and studied in Spain, Ireland and Ghana. Pianist Benny Green made special note of her unique pursuit of artistic growth, explaining that “Rebecca is masterful and selfless in her ability and inclination of melding her sound with her environment.”In 2022 Rebecca moved from Oakland to Durham and quickly ignited an East Coast musical career. She performed her “Durham Debut” concert to a sold-out audience at Sharp 9. From here she continued to develop her Quintet and Sextet, consistently filling top venues. Rebecca also co-founded and leads the now popular Brazilian Choro group "Noites Carolinas," joined the NC Brazilian Arts Project, Também, Beverly Botsford's group, and a local flamenco ensemble.
