Cleveland Rocks: PPF’s Professional Development Workshops are held on the third Monday of the month from 7-9pm at the Cleveland Rocks Shop (15801 Waterloo Rd.). Each workshop will focus on a different music-related topic with discussions from 7-8pm, followed by a 2×4 Songwriter Showcase from 8-9pm featuring 4 different artists, 2 songs each. <h3>March Workshop: Demystifying the Meta Suite</h3>How to use Facebook and Instagram effectively to market your independent music. Develop you fanbase, build more engagement, and sell more tickets. Strategies to make your advertising work well for your band. Stop feeling like you are wasting your money on Facebook ads. Marra studied music from Seton Hill University and has her BA in Music Therapy. Her writing inspirations derive from nature, life experiences and relationships. Marra's songwriting is influenced by music such as the Cranberries, Sixpence None The Richer, The Chicks, Shania Twain, and The Weepies to just name a few. Marra started Lea Marra &amp; The Dream Catchers in 2019. The band started out as an electric folk/pop/alt country band with a total of seven members. Marra had to rebuild the band in 2021 after her Sophomore album release, due to many of the members departing from LM &amp; TDC. In that time, the Dream Catchers evolved into a string band, which currently includes mandolin, banjo, upright bass, and three part harmonies at times. The band has adopted the genre name, “Porch Folk”. With the many changes of the line up of the band and the sound of the music Marra decided to change the name of the band to, Lea Marra &amp; The River Boys in 2023. The band provides grassy licks, strong vocals, and heartfelt lyrics. Through her music, Emi creates a welcoming environment for her audience, inviting them to express themselves without fear of judgment.Specializing in a blend of singer-songwriter, pop, and pop-folk genres, Emi captivates her listeners with a unique vocal range, seamlessly transitioning from ethereal vibrato to gritty growls and powerful belts. Her dynamic vocal style is sure to captivate and leave a lasting impression, leaving audiences eager for more.Emi draws inspiration from her experiences at TERRA songwriting retreats and is influenced by fellow artists such as Halsey, Chelsea Cutler, Teddy Swims, and her mentor, Madeline Finn. Though a disciple of all the world’s music, he carries a more direct torch from soloist musicians such as John Dowland, Andrés Segovia, Scott Joplin, and John Fahey. * *** The Cleveland Rocks Shop is an intimate venue with LIMITED capacity.
