A day focused on George Washington, his 1753 mission through western Pennsylvania, Native American presence, surveying, and the boundary disputes that led to Dunmore's War.Speakers include Diane Anestis - A Woman's Touch: 18th Century Easter Woodland Indian Women as Architects of Social Conscience and Gender Balance; Brian Reedy - George Washington's Many Travels into the Frontier; Allan Spencer - Native American Travel, Navigation and Lodging; Don Teter - Edward Corder, George Washington's Chainman (first person account); and Doug Wood - Dunmore's War: The War that Shadowed George Washington's Western Travels.
