History Fort Lauderdale operates 3 museums & a research library on its historic campus on the New River. Guided tours of museums begin every day at 1, 2, and 3pm. K-12 educational programs, life long learning, specialty tours, art exhibits, family fun days and much more are offered. Come hear the stories of Fort Lauderdale!!

History Fort Lauderdale

December 10, 1912 was the first street lighting in Fort Lauderdale on Andrews Avenue powered by the Bryan Electric Company. On the 107th anniversary of this event, please join History Fort Lauderdale for a Holiday Member Reception, Tuesday, December 10, 2019, from 6-8pm. 
Enjoy an evening of wine, hors d’oeuvres and holiday sweet treats as our campus sparkles with traditional, delightful holiday decorations and music capturing the magic of the season.
RSVP by December 9th. Members – complimentary. Non Member Guests - $25 per person
