<h2>Exploring Music: The Greatest Satirical Songs</h2><h3>Two Thursdays, April 4 &amp; 18</h3>1-2:30pm (PT), 2-3:30pm (MT), 3-4:30pm (CT), 4-5:30pm (ET)on ZoomSatire is one of the oldest forms of humor and adding music only seems to make it more powerful; in early Germanic and Celtic societies, people mocked in song would break out in boils and even commit suicide.Join David Misch (“Mork and Mindy, “Saturday Night Live,” “The Muppets Take Manhattan,” “Funny: The Book”) as he shares his picks for the best satirical songs in history, 15 tunes mocking racism, war, sexism, income inequality and more, featuring Randy Newman, Weird Al Yankovic, Gilbert &amp; Sullivan, Steve Martin, Amy Schumer, Chuck Berry, Groucho Marx, “Saturday Night Live,” “South Park,” Key and Peele, Bo Burnham and Bugs Bunny.And the Crown King of caustic cultural commentary, Tom Lehrer, who once said “If, after hearing my songs, just one human being is inspired to say something nasty to a friend, or perhaps to strike a loved one, it will all have been worthwhile.” (Note: Please do not attend if you are prone to boils.)Save!
