JAMDOCS: Bilingual International Assistance Services

The Jewish and Muslim Day of Community Service was developed in 2010 out of a partnership between the Islamic Foundation of Greater St. Louis and the Jewish Community Relations Council. The event takes place on Christmas to give recurring volunteers the opportunity to celebrate the holiday with their families, while also strengthening the relationship between the Jewish and Muslim communities. Now in its 7th year, the program has continued to grow year after year and we are excited and grateful to have you here with us!

Bilingual International Assistant Services

This organization&#x27;s mission is to ensure equal access to healthcare, mental health and social services for all, regardless of national origin or language ability, through the advocacy, education and direct multilingual services that we provide. Its direct services include wellness, mental health counseling, case management, Affordable Care Act assistance, prescription drug enrollment and the state’s only multi-ethnic senior center.
Volunteers will deliver hot midday meals along with gift bags containing household and personal care items. A reliable vehicle for meal delivery is required, although each car can include multiple people. Where possible, we will also try to match those without a car with drivers, along with those looking to work in teams with members of other faiths. 
Capacity: 16 drivers. Please register per vehicle. Each car’s route will consist of 4-6 households, each relatively near the others. Participants may bring their own food-handling bags, if available, and can arrive between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
