FTA TAM Focus Group at TRB Annual Meeting 2020

Thank you for your interest in the TAM focus group. The focus group is currently full. We will follow up in the event that additional space becomes available.

FTA and US DOT Volpe Center invite private sector partners (consultants, academic researchers, and other experts in transit asset management) to attend a 90-minute focus group at TRB Annual Meeting. This focus group will provide an opportunity for you and your peers to discuss your experiences helping the transit industry implement an asset management approach. The discussion will focus on:<ul><li>Your efforts to support process and organizational improvements at transit agencies, State DOTs and MPOs to address the TAM requirements</li><li>Gaps or needs for additional resources to support transportation providers</li><li>Future research needs and opportunities to support TAM implementation (whether by FTA, private firms, or academic institutions)</li><li>Your experience of the TAM rulemaking, TAM plan development, and FTA resources</li></ul>This discussion with industry and private sector partners is one part of the larger multi-year evaluation of the TAM program. Comments from private sector partners will be aggregated anonymously to inform the evaluation and make program recommendations to FTA. By participating in this group, you could help inform not only the evaluation, but also help identify future program needs or improvements to support the transit industry and asset management efforts.Registration for the focus group will be on a first-come, first-served basis, by organization. We have room for a small group of 5-9 participants, with a maximum of one participant per organization. Please contact TAM@dot.gov with any questions.
