2024  State of Higher Education Address

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education is a 14-member public body created in 1971 to define the missions of Indiana's colleges and universities, plan and coordinate the state's postsecondary education system, and ensure that Indiana's higher education system is aligned to meet the needs of students and the state.

Indiana's State of Higher Education Address is part of an ongoing public engagement effort designed to promote and increase college enrollment, completion, and graduate retention.Last year, the Commission called out the challenges facing higher education in Indiana, and this year will be no different. Along the way, the Commission discovered opportunities to drive change and developed its <a href="https://www.in.gov/che/strategic-plan/reaching-higher-in-a-state-of-change/" title="https://www.in.gov/che/strategic-plan/reaching-higher-in-a-state-of-change/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">HOPE (Hoosier Opportunities &amp; Possibilities Through Education) Agenda</a>.
