we are, which stands forworking to extend anti-racist education, is a non-profit organization that provides anti-racism training for children, parents, and educators. We use a three-pronged approach to dismantle systemic racism in education and beyond by offering summer camps for children in rising 1st-5th grade,  professional development for educators, and workshops for parents.

This workshop is the second in a Three-Part Series that we are is hosting for the public and especially for our current co-hort of summer camp families as their children prepare to attend we are Summer Camp 2024!In this hands-on interactive session, participants will reflect on their “blind spots” through an identity activity. They will also engage in a critical analysis of a study connecting educators’ racial biases to systemic harm.Purpose:<ol><li>Build upon our understandings of implicit biases</li><li>Connect systemic racism to educational system</li></ol>By the end of the session educators will:<ol><li>Be able to recognize and challenge our own biases</li><li>Move beyond individual bigotry and bias to a structural and institutional analysis</li></ol>----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Este taller es el segundo de una serie de tres partes que we are está organizando para el público y especialmente para nuestra actual cohorte de familias de campamentos de verano mientras sus hijos se preparan para asistir al Campamento de Verano we are 2024.En esta sesión interactiva, los participantes reflexionarán sobre sus "puntos ciegos" a través de una actividad de identidad. También realizarán un análisis crítico de un estudio que relaciona los prejuicios raciales de los educadores con el daño sistémico.Objetivo:<ol><li>Construir sobre nuestra comprensión de los prejuicios implícitos</li><li>Conectar el racismo sistémico con el sistema educativo</li></ol>Al final de la sesión, los educadores:<ol><li>Seremos capaces de reconocer y cuestionar nuestros propios prejuicios</li><li>Ir más allá de la intolerancia y los prejuicios individuales para realizar un análisis estructural e institucional</li></ol>
