VCUarts Qatar is the branch campus of the top-ranked Virginia Commonwealth School of the Arts in Richmond, Virginia. One-day in-person workshop led by <a href="https://vcuqtasmeem.wpengine.com/contributors/wael-morcos-2/" title="https://vcuqtasmeem.wpengine.com/contributors/wael-morcos-2/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jan De Coster</a><ul><li>March 3, 2024, 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM</li><li>Location: Room 177, VCUarts Qatar</li><li>Upon Registration Only</li></ul>In this workshop, robots become the artists in a sort of micro-universe, but we will give them characteristics and behavior that reflect the actual creative world.Participants will learn a simple visual coding language that will program the robots to perform an artistic task, and then get them to work on a canvas in a small arena. From there, humans and robots will continue to learn from each other: how the robots interact with their environment, and each other, will inform the humans about how they can all work together. Creating new code and combining different robots together will result in truly collaborative – Human and Robot – works of art.Please choose one of the two workshop days when registering.
