About this event

One-day in-person workshop led by Bradley Dunn Klerks

  • March 3, 2024, 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
  • Location: Materials Library, 101c, VCUarts Qatar
  • Upon Registration Only

In this workshop, participants will consider materiality, fashion, and architecture in order to envision new ways of wrapping the body. Your personal design vision reflects several possibilities and views regarding the current and future stages of innovation and research.

Architecture develops structures that house people, usually in large numbers. What if we looked at architecture from the perspective of one human? What materials would be appropriate? Where might we discover them? What is the greatest approach to build a structure for a single person? Is it true that "one size fits all"? Do today's fabrication possibilities enable mass customization?

The purpose of your proposal is to disrupt current paradigms and demonstrate your originality.

Participants need to have a laptop/personal computer to be able to conduct the workshop.

Please choose one of the two workshop days when registering.
