Do I have to ski?

Absolutely not! I love clever titles such as Moonlight Ski Concert and Canoe Concert, however you do not have to partake in the adventure, unless you want to.

Can I snowshoe?

Of course! Feel free to snowshoe or simply sit near the fire.

Can I skate ski?

Due to the small size of the loop, classic skiing is recommended over skate skiing.

Can I come and listen in the lodge if I don't reserve headphones?

Yes, you are welcome to come listen in the lodge without a headphone reservation. We kindly ask that you please leave a donation via venmo @paulapiano or cash in order to support the series.

What style of music is it?

Paula Dreyer plays a mix of original, mesmerizing, flowing compositions, improvisations, and covers. You can listen to her music at www.pauladreyer.com.

Is there grand piano in the lodge?

No, it is a high end, portable Stage Grand by Nord. It sounds beautiful and is powered by a silent generator. The lodge gets transformed into a simply beautiful, candlelit concert space.

Should I bring my own beverage?

I recommend it! Anything goes.

What do I need to bring?

Accepted Answer

Headlamps are very helpful for seeing in the dark. Some people love to wear light up necklaces or unicorn onesies. :) Really, bring whatever makes you feel your best and brightest. Feel free to bring snacks or beverages. Dress warmly!!

Do these concerts sell out?

Historically, they tend to sell out anywhere from 2 hours to 2 days after tickets are announced so please don't wait! If they do sell out, please add yourself to the waitlist and/or come and enjoy the show in the lodge without headphones.

Question 10

Is there parking? Do I need a permit?

Accepted Answer

Yes! There is a large lot right next to the lodge.  Yes, all Oregon Sno-Parks require a Sno-Park parking permit. Here's a link to info about the permits:

They can be purchased at most outdoor gear stores in Bend.

Question 11

What if there isn't snow? *gasp*

Of course, we hope for snow! But... if we don't have a white winter wonderland, it will be beautiful and the show will go on. We will set up candles in the forest and you can think of it more as a meditative "forest bath", strolling amidst the pines by candlelight.
