The Maurice and Jane Sugar Law Center for Economic and Social Justice is a national non-profit, public-interest law center. We provide legal advocacy, representation, education and technical support to empower community groups, workers’ rights groups and individuals seeking systemic change toward economic and social justice.

Every year we honor champions for justice and this year we will be celebrating two distinguished advocates. Ms. Ai-jen Poo, Co-Founder &amp; Executive Director of the National Domestic Workers Alliance is our Essential Advocacy Honoree and Mr. Steven Greenhouse, New York Times Columnist &amp; Author “Beaten Down, Worked Up: The Past, Present, &amp; Future of American Labor” is our distinguished lecturer for The Leonard Grossman Memorial Lecture. Doors open for the Leonard Grossman Memorial Lecture at 4:30 pm. Admission is free and open to the public. Doors open for the Essential Advocacy Reception and Fundraiser at 6:00 pm and tickets are required.
