A fundamental photography class to help you take better portraits.

Making a portrait is simple right? After all, you have a friendly digital camera! Grab it and snap some photos of family, friends and the kids. The images are in focus, exposure is excellent, and the image is sharp. However, there is still something not quite right, and you are not sure why. You've just learned that there's more to a good portrait than getting it technically correct.This workshop will introduce the fundamentals of portrait photography, including recommended camera settings, lighting demonstrations, and simple posing techniques. Students will have hands-on shooting time in the photo studio with a live model* to practice what they've learned.What will be covered: • Focal Length • Use of Lenses • Subject Development • Creative Thinking • Using the Flash • Lighting your subject • Expansion &amp; Compression • Light ModifiersThe class is for either a D-SLR or Mirrorless camera user.*Models: As a general rule for models and performers, gratuities are encouraged for their services. Tipping is a personal choice and at your discretion.
