UGAT: Ritual, Re/Membering, Un/Learning and Storytelling invites you to join us in this 3 part series to explore the ways we ground ourselves in order to connect or deepen our connection with our ancestors through movement, language and traditional healing art.Rooted in the traditions of the Philippines, we will hold a compassionate space for re/membering as we navigate the great un/learning so we may tend to the wellbeing of the Self, others, and the land.In this third session about Healing Through Hilot Storytelling, we will gather and share our stories and memories of the medicine and magic we have received from our families and elders. We will also learn some basic strokes for hilot to comfortably apply at home with our loved ones.Each of us carry stories of our elders and our ancestors, woven with our own. We invite you to be in gathering with us as we remember the healing traditions that we have witnessed, received and may have even practiced throughout our lives. This is one of the ways we can embody our ancestor’s wisdom, medicine and love.
