Women Writing for (a) Change Jacksonvilleis a growing community for Jacksonville writers. We focus primarily on women, but not exclusively. We strive to reach a diverse audience and to make our programs accessible to all, including all cultural groups, genders, and communities.

Join us for ”Compass of the Soul” as we gather for six weeks to chart our true north.

What are the true longings of your soul? How can they lead you to greater purpose, freedom, and fulfillment in life?In this writing circle, we will explore the compass of our souls and use this to guide us on our journey, charting our true North. Through writing, meditation, sensation, and movement, we will map our souls, recalibrate our compass, and open ourselves to the path that is seeking us.Many people want to live a purposeful life and wonder what their life’s purpose is. Our heart’s deepest longings and our earliest passions point to our purpose; our desires are the path to our dharma. We will explore these ideas by seeing the soul as a compass that already knows it’s path. Our task is to be open to its revelation. We will explore ways of “letting go” of the struggle to figure things out, allowing the “knowing” to find us like birds find seeds. We will use a variety of activities in addition to writing to tune into our our sensing and open ourselves to the revelations of our souls.This writing circle will be facilitated by Tru Leverette Hall. Open to anyone who identifies as a woman. Class size limited to 8.
