Designated Infection Control Officer Training

Federal Law states that each EMS, Fire, and law enforcement agency must have a designated infection control officer available 24/7 to manage exposures for their department. Do you have a designated infection control officer at your organization?

This course is designed to prepare the Infection Control Officer to fully meet the requirements needed to succeed. Tying in expectations from multiple regulatory entities including: OSHA, NFPA 1581, CDC, NOISH, The Federal Registry, and the Ryan White Law, this course will provide you with a base understanding of regulations for the position and provide implementation concepts to assist in execution. The course will focus on legal and clinical issues with an emphasis on implementation of the program. Participants will also be provided multiple resources to assist in the development and modification of your own program including a template for an infection control plan that can be used for your agency.
