Think of a moment you felt cared for. Who do you care about? How do you show that you care? What moment of kindness stands out to you? How do you care for yourself? Where do you go to feel care? Who do you go to?Weekly visits with your grandmother. The neighbor down the hall you say hi to everyday. The friend who always calls. Your dog’s favorite friend at the dog park. The teacher who always had a listening ear. Sunday football with your dad. Watering your houseplants. Grocery shopping for a friend. Your favorite yoga class. Notes from your mom in your lunchbox. The barista that knows your order. The bartender that knows your name. Your partner. Your brother. Your sister. Your friend. Your neighbor. We share calls, cards, flowers, smiles, meals. Moments.There is magic in these moments, in what can be seen as the mundane, in the rituals where we nurture ourselves and others.
