South Dakota Specialty Producers Association

Join us to learn about and discuss aggregation opportunities, resources and challenges.

During this meeting attendees will have the chance to learn about aggregation resources and opportunities available, hear from a guest speaker Deirdre Appel from SoDak Compost, and discuss challenges and needed resources regarding aggregation of local foods.Current opportunities and projects will highlight Robert Foley (Main Street Market of Tyndall) and Eric Ambroson (Planning and Development District III) on the interest survey for a commercial kitchen in Tyndall. Attendees will be able to learn more about the project and how the Planning and Development Districts can assist.Attendees will hear about the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP) and the Farm Fresh Produce Prescription Program in North Carolina. This program is an innovative way to distribute local food through prescriptions from participating healthcare and insurance providers.
