Esteemed DART Members!We are excited to bring back our DART conference! We have a great lineup scheduled for you all and we can't wait to see you all on March 8th!Do you teach a digital based curriculum? Do you want to learn about new Adobe techniques, advance your knowledge in the digital field and get some new lesson plan ideas? We are excited to once again, bring you the DART Conference! A one day conference with content geared specifically to digital media teachers. We have a full day of content and collaboration planned with breakout sessions, roundtable discussions and a Keynote speaker! We are excited to bring this conference to you again and hope you will join us for a day focused on digital arts content.DART is the professional organization created by digital art teachers that were seeking a space and information related to their classroom and medium. DART’s mission is to form connections between digital art classroom teachers while also creating connections between working professionals in the field of art and design, to keep current in the skills and knowledge of the industry. DART was created to bring together Digital Art Teachers for collaboration, lesson sharing, problem solving, and networking within our specific niche. Digital art is an ever changing and growing profession and as educators it is our job to keep up to date to bring our students updated information and skills.This event will be sponsored by College for Creative Studies. You will need to pay street parking prices at the meter. Conference Day Schedule:8:30am-8:50am- Arrival/Name Tag Pickup/Coffee8:50 am-9:10am- Intros/ Remarks from CCS Sponsor9:15am-10:00am- Breakout Session 110:05am-10:50am- Breakout Session 211:00am- 12:15pm- Lunch and Keynote Speaker Presentation12:15pm-1:45pm- EdCamp Style Roundtable Discussions (broken up by medium)1:45pm-2:00pm- Break2:00pm- 3:20pm- Lesson Share Presentations (currently need volunteers!)3:20pm-3:30pm- Sign out for PD Hours We are looking for volunteers for breakout sessions and lesson sharing!Breakout sessions will be short workshops, about 45 minutes, in three mediums- Photography, Graphics/Graphic Design and Video/Time Arts. If you are interested in running a workshop, please respond to this email letting us know what you would like to teach. A workshop would entail you teaching a lesson/technique/method using software related to your medium. i.e. an editing lesson in photoshop or lightroom, video skills or editing skills in premiere (or other video editing software),etc. You would need to have your own laptop and software if you are demonstrating as we will not have access to computers with software.Lesson Sharing- We need 5-6 volunteers for 10 minute lesson share presentations. This could be sharing a lesson that went really well with your students, showcasing your program, a film reel of student work, etc. We want to see what you are doing in your classrooms! If you or another teacher you know have something to share, please respond back with your ideas! In other news, we have a DART Facebook Group! This group is meant to share ideas, collaborate, network, and provide resources and opportunities for Digital Art Teachers.
