3rd Annual Walk for Homelessness

Walk for Homelessness Savannah's mission is to foster the connection of people in the Savannah community with the various institutions that are in place to help prevent homelessness.Although we are not leaving any particular level of homelessness out of the conversation, our primary focus is on the people who are working, or in search for work, yet struggling to afford housing. We are aware that there are also a lot of people who are mentally ill and simply do not have the support that would be necessary for them to live functional lives in our community. Our aim is to focus on creating connections with these people to the systems and institutions that are in place to give them the assistance they need, instead of merely offering them "spare change."
