<h1>AutPlay® Therapy Certification </h1><h3>2 Days I 9 AM-5 PM I 14 Contact CE Hours </h3><h3>Description: </h3><p>This is a two-day intensive certification training. This training focuses on teaching the AutPlay®  Therapy treatment approach, <strong>an integrative family play therapy and behavioral therapy approach to working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other developmental disabilities. An overview of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders will be presented.</strong> The tenets of AutPlay®  Therapy will be presented including the four component areas of AutPlay®  and the phases of treatment. Parent/family training and research will be highlighted. Intake and assessment protocols will be presented with case examples. AutPlay®  foundations of play therapy and behavioral therapy will be covered and several directive play therapy interventions will be demonstrated. Experiential case conceptualization and treatment planning will be presented. </p><p>Once you have registered for the training, you will be emailed a pre-training form with a few instructions before your two-day in-person training. This includes instructions for purchasing and reading the AutPlay®  book prior to your training. The book reading is worth 2 non-contact CE Hrs. </p><p></p><h2>2 Day Training  Schedule</h2><p>8:30AM -9:00 AM Registration and Continental Breakfast</p><p>9:00AM - 12:00 PM Morning Session</p><p>12:00PM-1:00PM Lunch Break</p><p>1:00PM-5:00PM Afternoon Session</p><p></p><h1>Learning Objectives: </h1><p>1) Explain autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders. </p><p>2) Describe the components of AutPlay®  Therapy including: conducting an AutPlay®  Therapy session, theoretical underpinnings, phases of treatment, assessment and screening instruments, and treatment planning. </p><p>3) Describe the three primary and three secondary target areas of treatment in AutPlay®  Therapy. </p><p>4) Identify several structured play therapy interventions to use for addressing target areas. </p><p>5) Discuss how to involve parents and other family members in treatment. </p><p>6) Describe the AutPlay®  model of dysregulation </p><p>7) Identify play therapy interventions to address dysregulation issues. </p><p>8) Implement the AutPlay®  Follow Me Approach, designed for children with a more severe impairment. </p><p>9) Describe how to train parents in implementing AutPlay®  follow me play times at home. </p><p>10) Explain research and evidence based practices in AutPlay® Therapy. </p><p>11) Outline the theoretical underpinnings of AutPlay® , including play therapy models and behavioral therapy. </p><p>12) Identify AutPlay®  interventions to increase experiential knowledge. </p><p></p><h2>Continuing Education for Mental Health Professionals: </h2><p>This training is approved for 14 contact CE hrs applicable to the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) NBCC provider #6595, the Association for Play Therapy (APT)Approved Provider #12-318 , and IBCCES (Certified Autism Specialist and Autism Certificate)Certified Training Partner for IBCCES (International Board for Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards) #CE159432. </p><p>The independent AutPlay®  book reading portion of this training is approved for 2 non-contact CE Hrs applicable to the Association for Play Therapy (APT)Approved Provider #12-318 , and IBCCES (Certified Autism Specialist and Autism Certificate)Certified Training Partner for IBCCES (International Board for Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards) #CE159432. </p><p>Attendees wishing to receive NBCC, APT, or IBCCES continuing education hours must meet the guidelines established by these organizations. This training is relevant for Registered Play Therapists, Licensed Counselors, Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Psychologists, School Counselors, Certified Counselors, and other Mental Health Professionals. </p><p></p><h2><strong>Continuing Education for Other Professionals:</strong> </h2><p>This training is approved for 14 contact CE Hrs applicable to IBCCES (Certified Autism Specialist and Autism Certificate). Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Special Education Teachers, and other professionals in case management, education, and medical fields working with children and adolescents with autism and related conditions can complete the AutPlay training but will not be granted certification status and will not receive Play Therapy(APT) or NBCC continuing education hours.
