More than 3,500 team leaders, supervisors, managers, and executives have benefited from Leadership Development Essentials, and the current version is the most impactful yet.

WEEK 1 - LEADERSHIP SKILLS FOR TEAM LEADERS, SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS

Successful leaders are those who can adapt to the unique demands of the situation. This module covers behaviors that help team leaders, managers and supervisors focus their efforts on higher value-added activities. Additionally, with increased awareness of personal style and a practical mental framework to build upon, aspiring leaders can assess and adjust their actions, interpret the behavior of others and improve their ability to win hearts and minds in any situation calling for effective leadership.

WEEK 2 – EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE & MOTIVATION

This module explores why emotional intelligence is the foundation of effective leadership and a critical driver of motivation and performance. Participants will examine how self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management influence leadership impact and team dynamics. The session focuses on how leaders can use these core emotional intelligence skills to better understand what motivates their people, respond productively to challenges, and create conditions where individuals and teams are able to do their best work.

WEEK 3 – EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Participants will learn about various communication styles and techniques that create different communication perceptions. They will learn which types of approaches are necessary to communicate effectively in different situations.

WEEK 4 - CONFLICT MANAGEMENT

Participants will uncover their personal approaches to stressful situations through assessment and understand how to address various levels of conflict. This training guides employees through the conflict management process and teaches them the skills to not only handle conflict on their own, but use it as a tool to move the business and culture forward.

WEEK 5 - PERFORMANCE COACHING

This module focuses on building strong performance coaching skills that help leaders support both individual success and a healthy workplace culture. Participants will learn performance coaching best practices, including how to deliver effective, informed feedback and set clear, meaningful goals that align individual contributions with organizational priorities. The session emphasizes coaching as an ongoing, collaborative process—one that drives productivity while also reinforcing trust, engagement, and accountability. Leaders will leave with practical tools to use performance coaching not only to improve results, but to strengthen culture and support long-term growth.

WEEK 6 - CREATING A RESPECTFUL WORKPLACE

This session defines and identifies sexual harassment and offensive behaviors that could be considered harassment. Real-life scenarios are discussed, along with the ramifications of not complying with employment laws. We discuss important topics like bias, in/out groups, and microaggressions to help participants identify how they can best contribute to a respectful workplace while helping those they lead to follow suit.

WEEK 7 - HIGH-PERFORMANCE TEAMS

This session teaches participants the importance of healthy employee relationships, motivational strategies to improve morale and that employees are the company’s number one asset. Attendees participate in trust building activities to develop mutual respect, openness, understanding and empathy, as well as developing communication and teamwork skills.

WEEK 8 - CHANGE MANAGEMENT

This session helps individuals identify and develop the skills that make them more effective at leading change, whether the change is one they have chosen to initiate or one they have been asked to implement. Additionally, attendees gain an understanding of change reactions and how to deal with them.
