8 Resin Techniques Workshop
Overview
What is resin, what is the best product for the project I have in mind, where do I buy it, what's the best deal for the various products on the market, where can I purchase the pigment to colour my resin, what is mica powder and can I use it in my resin, what are cells and lacing, and how do I create those amazing pieces that I see all over Pinterest and YouTube?
I'm confident that you've seen all the amazing things you can do with resin and are interested in learning "hands-on" how it's done. Working with resin is amazing and the possibilities are endless - really!
There are 8 basic techniques for pouring resin and we will try each one of them so you can decide which one(s) you are most interested in using on your finished product which will be a 12x12 cradle board wall art. You will also be keeping all your mini practice pieces as well!
Following are the techiques we will be featuring during the workshop and practicing each one individually on a 5x7 white canvas board that you will be able to keep:
- Wet in Wet Technique
- Side by Side Technique
- Exotic Pour
- Swiping
- Cells and Lacing
- Colour Blending/Softening
- Manipulating Mica
- Veining/Decorating
Your Creative Coach will demo each technique as well as how to properly mix colours, ratios for mixing, how to use the heat gun and torches to eliminate gas bubbles that occur naturally when the epoxy and the hardener are mixed together.
