Intimidated by the platen press? Having make-ready problems? Worried about smashing pins, overpacking, or uneven impressions? This hands-on workshop will help you refine essential platen pressskills, including registration, pin placement, proper packing, and troubleshooting. Learn how to adjust the platen corrrectly, tricks to adjust roller height, and learn how to diagnose issues and reduce wear by truly listening to the press. All materials provided. All skill levels welcome, tho some experience printing on a platent press is expected. Age 18+
This workshop is offered in conjunction with the APA conference, but participants do NOT need be conference attendees to enroll in this workshop.
