7th Annual Lionfish Bash

The Woody Foundation was founded in 2011 to raise funds and increase awareness for those with paralysis. In January of that year, the Foundation’s namesake, James “Woody” Beckham was injured in a rugby match, an injury that left him a quadriplegic. Since then, we’ve raised over $1.7 million dollars to help those with paralysis. The Woody Foundation is happy to announce their 7th installment of the annual Lionfish Bash, June 23rd – June 24th of 2017 in Miami, FL. The lionfish bash is a triple threat event: we help eliminate the invasive Indo-Pacific lionfish, we raise money for a great cause, and we have a great time doing it! The funds raised from the Lionfish Bash are donated to Jackson Rehabilitation Hospital and directly benefit the spinal cord injury community. To kick off the tournament, we will host a Captain’s Meeting from 5:30pm – 7:30pm on Friday, June 23rd at Atchana’s in The Mutiny Hotel in Coconut Grove. Lionfish hunting will commence Saturday morning until weigh-in from 3:00pm – 5:000pm, followed by dinner at 7:00pm, both at Coral Reef Yacht Club.
