Is there a cancellation fee?

Due to the detrimental impact last minute cancellations have on the experience of other participants, ANY cancellations that occur within 3 HOURS of the event start time will result in a $50 fee and the potential for a permanent ban. We kindly ask you give us enough heads up to fill your spot.

What's your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

All sales are final. We understand that life happens, and in the case you can’t attend, we'll provide you with a credit, but we need a heads up! So ONLY if you let us know at least 24 hours prior to your event start time. When in doubt, feel free to reach out via email. pdx@luvvlydating.com

How long does an event last?

Accepted Answer

The average length of a Luvvly Dating event is about 2 hours.

Question 4

How do I know there will be a good turn out?

Accepted Answer

Events consistently book out in advance, you can expect an average of 7-8 dates. On the rare occasion where attendance gets too low and we can’t offer a quality experience, we’ll cancel the event and offer you a choice of a credit transfer or full refund.

Question 5

How long will I have to talk to each date?

Accepted Answer

We’ve scheduled dates with enough time to break away from small talk and dive into deeper conversations. Round times can vary slightly, but are typically around 8-9 minutes per date.

Does Luvvly offer dating feedback, advice, or matchmaking services?

Although we don’t offer any coaching or matchmaking services at this time, we’ve assembled a list of top romance gurus, quizzes, courses and more on our website's learn page as a free resource!

Question 7

Are you partnered with your venues?

Accepted Answer

We carefully choose and partner with our favorite local venues. While venue staff does not run or oversee our events, we’re in close communication together so they’re always in the loop.

Question 8

What happens if there is an uneven ratio of participants?

Accepted Answer

We implement break rounds. It’s a short time slot to grab an extra drink, use the bathroom or just catch your breath. Think of it as an intermission!

Question 9

I can’t find my date. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Don’t fret! We’ll help you track them down, but your date is probably grabbing a drink or using the restroom.

In the scenario your date has left, that ‘round’ will simply be a break for you.

Question 10

I wasn’t able to get a match.

Accepted Answer

This is a normal part of dating. The goal isn’t to match with everyone, but rather the right ones. Plenty of our participants have a great time simply connecting with new folks whether or not they get a match every time.

Question 11

Should I keep my phone on the entire time?

Accepted Answer

Yes! In order to ensure you’re rotating dates on time, you’ll need to have your phone out and notifications on. We recommend turning up your volume so you can simply hear when it's time to swap dates rather than check your screen.

When will I get my match results?

Accepted Answer

We finalize all match results and whether or not you had any mutual matches, you’ll get your results within 24 hours of the event end time.

Question 13

Will I know who wanted to match with me even if I didn't match with them?

In order to respect our participants' privacy, we will only be able to share information if the match is mutual.

Question 14

Will there be breaks?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You’ll have a couple minutes between each date to find your next date, as well as a short intermission breather for everyone mid event if you have over 6 dates.

What if I don’t drink?

We got your back! We have a range of venues, some that serve alcohol and some that don’t. Additionally we try to ensure our evening venues have mocktail or non-alcoholic options.

Can I match as a friend?

We want to ensure everyone's intentions are clear and there's no confusion on what a ‘match’ means, for this reason we do not currently have a platonic match option.

What if I am on a date with someone I don’t find attractive?

Accepted Answer

You’re not going to fall in love with every date, and this is a normal part of dating. Lean into the icebreaker prompts and simply enjoy a friendly conversation connecting with a new person. Be kind and respectful.

Question 18

How strict are your age ranges?

Our age ranges are flexible by 2 years, which means that if you are either 2 years older or 2 years younger than the specified age range for a particular event, you are still welcome to attend.
