Donate to Funding Memorial Structures at the Historic FSC/LAF Rural  & Training Research Center in Epes, Alabama

The goal of the Memorial Legacy Committee (MLC) is to memorialize and honor the individuals, organizations, and funders who were instrumental in the creation and work of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund ("the Federation").The work of MLC will underscore the efficacy of cooperative economic development and its grassroots leaders. The Memorial Project will be located at the FSC/LAF Rural Research and Training Center, Epes, Alabama.The Committee’s design plan will include multiple edifices and living structures, examples of which are a strategically positioned Memorial Wall; Gateways to Fruit and Pecan Trees; Flower Gardens in selected locations; Walkways to reflective points, such as Dedicated Fountains, Benches, Plaques, Abstract Artistic and Statuary Renderings, and Gazebos.The Committee consists of twelve former FSC/LAF Staff Members:Jerry Pennick, Alice Paris, George Paris, Wendell Paris, Carol Zippert, John Zippert, Augustus Townes, James Shay, Otis Williams, Jerry Pennick, Carmen Prejean, and Charles Prejean.It is our hope this endeavor will also serve as an inspiration for others, especially young people, to follow in the footsteps of the Federation’s grassroots founders and those who came behind them.Thank you for your donation.
