<p>Dominique Montaño (she/her) is a Fort Collins artist and educator, utilizing a career in artistry, zoology and the sciences to investigate nature and its complexities through a visual lens. With a focus in systems thinking and how individual parts become the whole, she explores how science informs the arts, and how we can use the arts to advance and improve the sciences and our ability to communicate it.</p><p>A published scientific illustrator and local artist, she will discuss the similarities and differences between art and science, and how a merging of the two leads to extensive opportunities and abilities to effectively communicate and connect across disciplines.</p>
