Women Writing for (a) Change Jacksonvilleis a growing community for Jacksonville writers. We focus primarily on women, but not exclusively. We strive to reach a diverse audience and to make our programs accessible to all, including all cultural groups, genders, and communities.

“Butterflies don’t see the beauty of their own wings, just like we don’t always see our own beauty as we’re learning and growing.”—Tyla Chambers.This four-week circle for UNF women students, co-created with student Tyla Chambers, is opportunity for UNF women to speak their truth, to gain experience sharing their voices, to learn who they are at this stage of life, and to let their truths inform their decisions.This writing circle offers an open invitation for young women to discover who they are at this stage of life, to identify and speak their truths, to gain experience sharing their voices, to let their truths inform their decisions...and to witness the beauty of their own wings.This writing circle will be facilitated by Tru Leverette Hall. Please note: We will be focusing primarily on those who identify as women, but not exclusively. We will try to create a supportive, non-threatening environment for anyone who participates. We encourage everyone in the community to help us create an atmosphere where the safety of others is validated.We wil lmeet Feburary 7, 14, 21, and 28 in the Women's Center Lounge at UNF.
