This workshop for educators, Teaching with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), will provide a framework of supporting students in understanding global issues, with a specific emphasis on SDG #5 Gender Equality. Understanding multiple forms of inequalities in our world will be the focus of this workshop, including an analysis of the specific causes and impacts of gender inequalities and how these live out across the globe. Participants will examine global perspectives on gender equality using World Savvy’s case study on India’s Female Workforce and also make local connections through a panel discussion representing diverse local perspectives relating to gender equality. Additionally, educators will discover relevant tools and resources that support the integration of the SDGs into student learning experiences.
