In this writing workshop we unearth dreams, imaginative and unconscious responses to ecological grief and climate change.

Bushfires, drought, floods, hurricanes and tsunamis are motifs commonly experienced in dreams, which are increasing in frequency in the waking realm. As the earth changes and revolts, so do our inner worlds and visions.In this writing workshop we unearth dreams, imaginative and unconscious responses to ecological grief and climate change. We look towards the Anthropocene and seek collective imagining amidst environmental destruction.We unpack the symbology of climate change by drawing on myth, poetry and ancient medicine. We look at wildfires and floods as metaphor. We discuss how to cultivate language and symbology to understand changes in the spirit of the earth and our inner worlds.This workshop is open to all. No writing experience is necessary. -Manisha Anjali is a writer and artist. She is the founder of Neptune, a research and documentation platform for dreams, visions and hallucinations.
