Join us for this sacred circle and ceremony where we will commune with the Goddess Brigid and celebrate Imbolc.

Imbolc is the Celtic festival where we honor the Goddess Brigid. She is a triple goddess of poetry, healing and smith craft. Brigid is a powerful being of light and love (fire and water are her elements) that can aid us in our own inner transformation and the development of our hopes and dreams. The Gaelic word ‘Imbolc’ means ‘in the belly’. It marks the time of year when we recognize all that is starting to stir within the belly of the earth, and in our own being. In this ritual, we will learn about the Goddess Brigid and the ways she can be an ally in our lives. We will honor her with singing and drumming and have a chance to muse with the Mystery through guided meditation, receiving her guidance. We will reflect on the ways the flame of love can heal our hearts from within so that we can shine our own light more brightly in the world, calling upon Brigid’s power of both healing, protection and creativity. We will each go home with our own candle, charged to represent Brigid’s flame that accompanies us each day. Please bring a journal and a pen and an open heart. If so desired you may also bring a spring flower for the altar (but that is not required). Rev. Kimberly Elliot balances the worlds of earth based spirituality and progressive, mystical Christianity that includes returning to the ancient ways of the Goddess and bringing back the balance of Sacred Feminine Spirituality. She has been in professional ministry for over twenty five years and she has also studied with Starhawk, Native American elders, and kept the shabbats of the ancient Goddess religion for decades. She is practiced in leading ritual and going between the worlds to open portals to the upper realms of consciousness to facilitate deep, spiritual experiences for others. She knows how to create a safe container during ritual time so that all can feel held, guided and protected by the benevolent presence of Spirit. Rev. Kimberly offers one-on-one spiritual coaching where clients are able to deepen their experience of Divine Presence in their lives. She is also the pastor of Fairfax Community Church.
