acta Community Theatre is proud to present the first session of the Elevate programme - Creative Facilitation: games, exercises, group dynamics, planning.Elevate is a scheme run by acta and supported by The Singer Foundation and Arts Council England. It is aimed at community theatre practitioners and socially engaged artists who are interested in working with a specific community, and would like to develop their knowledge and practice of community and socially engaged theatre and arts practice. Some of the sessions will be open for all to book on to - we advise you follow us to get notified of future sessions too.what will I do in this workshop? • You'll learn a range of games and exercises • You'll learn how to adapt games to the needs of the groups • You will understand when to use a game and how it can benefit you • Learn how to plan and structure a workshop • Learn the benefits of this workThis workshop will benefit anybody who facilitates groups as part of their work - not just for creative practitioners.If the price is a barrier for you to attending the workshop, please email rosa@acta-bristol.com to discuss how we can help you attend. Access: The workshop will be in our theatre which is accessed via five steps. A lift is available for those who need it. We have an accessible toilet on site. We're keen to accommodate you and can work to help out with further access requests. F or example, we can offer use of on site wheelchairs and walkers, we can save a spot for you in our carpark, allocate a free ticket to your carer or companion, sighted guiding, any printouts can be provided in large print, and more.We are very keen to accommodate you - please reach out to request adjustments (including any you have that are not listed above) by contacting rosa@acta-bristol.com
