Our winter concert focuses on the societal obstacles which prevent us from treating one another as equals deserving of dignity and respect, and the centerpiece of the concert will be David Lang’s Pulitzer-Prize-winning work the little match girl passion. The remaining pieces on the program highlight ways in which the language we use in various contexts causes us to talk past one another and obscure the true intention and emotional content of our words.
