How does our understanding of the edges of our being influence us? A Complex Definition of a Body is a practice group that aims to add layers of complexity to our understanding of where we end and the world begins.Let’s embark on a cross-disciplinary exploration of what we consider to be a body. Taking inspiration from microbiology, psychology, and ecology, we will be following threads of curiosity to explore what happens visually when we blur the borders between multiplicitous bodies, both human, and more-than-human.&nbsp;This is a group to experiment with ideas, play with different visual techniques, and spark inquisitiveness about how photography can help us visualize the complexity of defining the edges of a body. The focus of the group will be on emerging ideas rather than technical instruction, though all questions are always welcome within the group. For all levels of photographers.K﻿inship uses a pay-what-you-can honor system with a minimum donation or $50. The average contribution for a six-week practice group is $125. Please give as generously as you can. If you cannot afford the minimum contribution of $50 please don't hesitate to request a scholarship.
